Famous nutritionist, life coach and author Manjari Chandra's latest work 'Eat Up, Clean Up' has completely changed my perception of healthy living. In the post-covid era when new and more complex diseases are resurfacing everyday, it is necessary for everyone to think over over their daily lifestyle. What is it that we are eating? Are we giving our body the nutrition it demands to function properly or are we killing it silently with cheap food choices for momentary happiness? These are the question we should ask ourselves. But unfortunately most of the time either we are not aware of these things or we don't have the right information about the food we eat, the medicine we take or the surgeries we undergo in the false hope of a healthy life. This work will help you break all those false ideas and encourage you to live a healthy life.
Allow me to share with you what I have learned from this work.
1. There are so much confusing information available on the internet nowadays that whenever we try to follow a particular diet plan or a particular lifestyle, due to misinformation we end up harming ourselves. It is important that we should get the right information from right sources.
2. Our foucus has shifted from living a healthy life to losing more weight, in the course of which we are actually denying the essential nutrition the body demands to stay healthy and strong.
3. The Pharmaceutical industry has created an illusion that human beings are immoral and taking one of two pills can solve all your problems but in reality we are actually weakening our natural immunity and in the name of saving our lives they are actually pushing us towards more severe forms of diseases.
Apart from these the book contains some eye-opening facts that everyone should know. It is a well-researched book and it contains latest research findings on the field of healthcare and nutrition. The book has also unveiled the reality of various pharmaceutical companies and how they fool people in the name of providing good health. In this dirty game of earning profit, the companies tie up with doctors who prescribe unnecessary medicines and treatments for illnesses that can easily be treated by healthy nutritious diet.
What I loved the most are the activities given in the book. The book will guide you to design your own plan and set goals for a better and healthier future.I absolutely loved the way the author has explained the simple mantras of a healthy life through stories of real indian people and their problems. It makes the reader feel instantly connected with the book. Use of charts, diagrams and pointers makes it easy to follow and even reread the points if you want to go through the important points again.
The book contains information about Ayurvedic medicines. Unlike other books on nutrition that tell you to follow a costly diet plan this book has been written keeping in mind the indian readers. The book will tell you simple indian foods that are easily available, much cheaper in price but high in quality which you can add in your lifestyle and follow easily.
Overall, it was an eye-opening read. I give this book full 5 stars for the content and the overall presentation and encourage everyone to go through this amazing work.
Happy Reading
