Rating: 4/5 stars

The story of an Indian girl's relentless battle against all odds to achieve her dream at the Indian Air Force.

Author Chetna Lumb Bedi's 'Shall We Tango Charlie?' is an extraordinary tale of an ordinary girl's journey from being powerless to become all powerful. The story revolves around Ahana Lumba, a simple girl who dares to dream. Her simple, docile appearance may deceive you but behind the veil there lies a rebel, a couragous girl who can achieve anything through hardwork and determination. It is her childhood dream to become a Garud Commando at the Indian Air Force. But it is not as easy as it looks, especially for a girl who has decided to step into that domain which is supposed to be dominated by males over the years.
Will Ahana be able to rise from the ashes of her past like a pheonix to achieve her dream?
What will happen when the people around her will try to pull her down and break her into million pieces?

To get the answers you have to go through this amazing work.

What I loved the most about this book is the plot itself. This simple story of a girl's journey through all the challenges gives a beautiful message of courage, a message once given by the great saint Vivekananda, 'Arise, awake and stop not, till the goal is reached'. I believe this novel will light a candle of hope in the hearts of millions who dares to challenge the existing perception of the society through their efforts. The author has presented the story in such a brilliant manner that it will make you feel connected with the protagonist. The novel will take you on a journey through happy, sad and proud moments and at the end you will feel satisfied.

Overall, it was a fascinating experience going through the work. I give it 4 stars for the plot and character construction and the overall presentation.

Happy Reading
