Title: Felicity of Grammar
Author: Dr. Rati Ram Dhakar
Publisher: Pblishing
Genre: Textbook
Rating:4/5 stars

Indian english poet, educationist and national teacher awardee Dr. Rati Ram Dhakar's latest work ' Felicity of Grammar' is a perfect book for anyone trying to understand the world of english grammar. The book has been carefully prepared by the author, keeping in mind the Indian learners, majority of whom speaks in their mother tongue Hindi and often finds it very difficult to converse or express their thoughts and feelings in english. Their lack of fluency in the language makes it quite difficult for them to gain confidence in various competitive exams, interviews and real life situations.

Dr. Dhakar has written and presented this grammar book in such a brilliant manner that anyone with little or no knowledge of grammar can easily learn the intricacies of english grammer from this book. What I personally loved the most is the way Dr. Dhakar has actually used the hindi language to help the learners understand the various rules of grammar and their usage in different situations. He has used examples in hindi from day to day life which makes it quite easy for the learners to understand the construction of the sentence and its meaning in a much easier way.

Divided in 36 different chapters, this 568 pages long book offers almost everything a learner should know if he/she wants to achieve mastery in the English language. Starting from the very grassroot level of 'Alphabet' the book gradually move towards complex rules of grammer. What makes this grammar book different from any other book on the market are 1. The presentation, 2. The amount of content and 3. The brilliant use of Hindi to teach English.

Overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend this book to those who wants improve their language skills and also for those who are preparing for any competitive exam and finds it difficult to understand the rules of english grammar. Give this book a try. You won't regret. I give this text book 4 stars for the content and the overall presentation.

Happy Reading
