Title: Food Matters : The Role Your Diet Plays in the Fight Against Cancer
Author: Dr. Shubham Pant
Publisher: HarperCollins India
Genre: Health/ Non-fiction
Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Dr. Shubham Pant's latest work 'Food Matters' provides a brief overview about the nature, causes and types of cancer and how a little change in our daily lifestyle and eating habits can help us fight against cancer. Divided in three sections the work systematically addresses the key points regarding cancer prevention and how one can manage a healthy lifestyle during and after the cancer therapy. The first section deals with the need and importance of fruits and vegetables in the prevention of cancer and talks about the ill effects of fast food on our health. The section also provides useful tips on how we can stay away from fake information regarding cancer on various social media platforms. At the end of each section the author has provided simple and healthy recipes which anyone can prepare and enjoy.

The second section provides detail on healthy food and diet during cancer therapy. It provides useful suggestions on the management of nutritional needs and how one can act effectively on the symptoms during cancer therapy. The last section provides information regarding the nutritious foods to care the body after the cancer therapy.

What I loved the most about this book is the way the author has presented the useful informations in a simple but interesting manner in this semi-autobiographical work. The conversational tone instantly grabs the attention and the readers feel connected with the book. I loved the way he has used stories to illustrate the key points. Also, the brilliant use of charts and figures and the colourful pictures provides a wonderful reading experience.

Overall, it was a fascinating experience going through this interesting work. I recommend it to everyone. I give it 4.5 stars for the valuable insights, writing style and narration and the overall presentation.

Happy Reading
