Title: The Accidental Accountant
Author: Deepak Kaul
Genre: Fiction
Format: Kindle
Rating: 4/5 stars

Deepak Kaul's latest work 'The Accidental Accountant' presents a young graduate boy's journey into the challenging and changing world of Chartered Accountantancy. The story revolves around the protagonist Deb who has just finished his bachelor's in economics from a prestigious arts college and is now a bit confused about his future. He finds MBA fascinating but don't actually feel the inner desire to join MBA. But when after rigorous preparations he gets rejected in the MBA entrance exam, his uncle, on the request of his father suggests him to apply for CA like his Rajeev mausa who joined CA 20 years ago . Deb decides to apply at various CA firms and fortunately one firm hires him. But little did he know his decision to become a CA will change the course of his life forever.

To know more go through this exciting story.

The first thing that I liked about the story is the way it protrays the reality of today's society and the predicaments of a jobless youth. The work also shows the fault in our education system that only prepares degree holders without any real knowledge, individuals who are educated on record and just have a degree to showcase, but don't know how to apply their knowledge in real life world. Deepak kaul has artistically presented the inner conflict and confusion on the protagonist with the mastery of his writing. Deb's experiences with Prajay Nehra and Anthony, his realization of the true nature of the financial world is something worth reading.

Overall, it was a really good experience. I give it 4 stars and recommend it to everyone.

Happy Reading
