Title: When the Wildflowers Bloom
Author: Rupa Bhullar
Publisher: Rupa Publications
Genre: Fiction
Rating: 4/5 stars

'A Lady in her late thirties decide to put an end to her toxic marriage and goes on a journey to rediscover herself'

Fascinating, insightful and utterly inspiring, author Rupa Bhullar's second work of fiction takes us on a virtual journey to explore and redefine the boundaries of our relationships with others and the self. The story centers around Tara Grewal, a lady in her late thirties who loves to enjoy the little joys in her life. Though from the outside she appears to be happy, but from the inside she has suffered much in these long 17 years of marriage. Somewhere deep down in her heart she feels a hollowness, a desire to break free from the chains of meaningless toxic relationship.

When her husband Tej humiliates her publicly she realized it is necessary to put an end to it. The first shock, the withdrawal and then the gradual loss of self respect till she can't stand it anymore. Alone in her house that is no longer a home, Tara comes to the painful realization that for years she has been slowly disappearing.

At this point she decides to rediscover the true purpose of her life and dedicate it for wellbeing of many poor souls who needs a little encouragement and support to bloom. Like a sunflower which lost all its refreshing smell and glow in the dark nights of constant suppression, now she is free and energized with the new rays of hope. Now she is free to live a life of her own and share the sweet smell of her new found life with the world.

To know what happens next you have to go through this inspiring story. I absolutely loved going through this work. I give it 4 stars for the story, narration and overall presentation and highly recommend it to everyone.
