The short stories of Deepak Kaul's 'De-Void' explore those issues which are often ignored and people don't really talk about them. The collection has presented those issues in a refreshing manner for the readers. What I like about Kaul's writing is the way he presents the simple events of everyday life in such an engaging manner that it forces us to reread the story and ponder over it. The stories are simple but interesting and they explore the character's moral struggle and victories. The stories unpredictable plots and unapologetic relations are realistic and imaginative. All the 12 stories are unique in their approach and provides an amazing reading experience. I particularly loved the stories Gone Girl, Awakening and Release.
Overall, it was a fascinating experience going through this work.I give this work 4 stars and recommend it to those readers who prefer to read short and interesting stories.
Happy Reading
