Author Luciano Wernicke's phenomenal work 'The Most Incredible Olympic Stories' documents the exciting history of Olympic Games (Summer Games) and its evolution from the massive arenas of ancient Greece to the 20th century high tech stadiums. The work captures in detail how Olympics became the scene of contest that extended beyond the boundaries of a court or stadium. In the past decades, many forces tried to contaminate its purity by trying to convert it into a medium of political propaganda, diplomatic war and even a place of brutal massacre, but even after so many challenges over the years, it has successfully protected its glory and sanctity till now.
It is undoubtedly a well-researched and well-written work. Nowhere I felt bore or disappointed while reading this phenomenal work. The work delivers what it promises. Apart from historical events the work presents some truly interesting facts, such as how between the years 1948 to 1992, the Olympics became an arena for Cold War between USSR and the USA, and how tyrants like Hitler and Roman Nero once dominated the Olympic Games to satisfy their hubris.
You will find many more things as you will delve deep into this exciting work. I give it full 5 stars for the writing style, content and overall presentation and highly recommend it to everyone.
Happy Reading
