.
Richa Mukherjee's second novel "Kanpur Khoofia Pvt. Ltd." was my first read in 2020 and I absolutely loved the way she has waved the story with a touch of Indian flavour which connects the reads instantly with the story.

Prachand Tripathi, a simple man, who lives in a joint middle class family is a very good husband and perfectly manages his family. But apart from being a simple family man he possesses another indentity as well. He is a private detective and runs the agency "Kanpur Khoofiya Pvt.Ltd." with her wife Vidya in the beautiful city of Kanpur.

Their life takes a dramatic turn when they receive a mysterious client who offered them the job of tailing a famous Bollywood actress Shailaja Kapoor. In the course of their investigation, someone murders Shailaja's husband Sujit Oberoi and abducts the actress. Now Prachand have to decode the mystery to save the actress from the impending death.
.
The first thing that attracts me is the cover page which is absolutely beautiful. The cover design by Wasim Helal and the perfect use of colours generates a strong desire in the heart of the spectators to go through the book and uncover the mystery at the very first glance.
.
As far as the plot is concerned, it is very well-written and compact.Richa Mukherjee is undoubtedly a master storyteller and that is pretty much evident in her narrative style.I loved the way she has connected the events in a systematic manner and everything is in perfect balance.
.
Perhaps the best part of the novel is the Familial touch and that desi flavour infused with the mysterous chain of events that makes it such an interesting read. The kind of connection I felt in the detective stories of Feluda and Byomkesh, the same can be felt in this particular novel.
.
The author has given special attention to the detailing of the plot and the character construction.Nowhere I felt any character is overpowering the other characters in any way.
.
Another thing which I loved about the novel is the importance the author have given to the woman characters, be it Rachana Tripathi (Prachand's Mother-in-Law) or Vidya Tripathi, who is not only performs her role as a housewife but also supports her husband courageously.
.
Overall, It was an amazing read.I give this book 4.5 stars for the amazing content, compact writing style and superb presentation.
.
If you are the one who loves detective fiction or mystery novels, this book should be in your TBR list this year.

Happy Reading.
