"And it sings to my heart, like a melody carved from my unexplored profoundness.
Creating rhythm un my unequal breaths and a dance completing my soul."

The story revolves around the protagonist Taara Singh, who is an engineer by profession but a mountaineer by heart. She has gone to many expeditions earlier in Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal but this is for the first time she is going for a formal training in Mountaineering in Kashmir.
But the decision of becoming a mountaineer and living the dream life was not easy as it seems.Infact, she was forced to leave her love behind to achieve her goal. Five years have passed but the memories still haunt her.

Does a difficult Mountaineering course in Kashmir prove to be the turning point in her life?
Will she be able to complete her 'Ascent of Love' the way she intended to, or will a hailstorm change the plan of her life?

Review-

The title is apt and I like the cover page too. It is a romantic fiction and the story justifies the theme and genre. Though the story is not something completely new, but the presentation is commendable. The story revolves around the protagonist only and no other character has given that much importance in the story. As far as the writing style is concerned, it is simple and lucid. The storyline hops between Taara's engineering days at Dehradun and her current life at the Mountaineering Training Institute.

I particularly liked the way the author has waved the story from her own experiences in "Artificial Wall Climbing". Another thing that I liked the most is the construction of the main protagonist Taara. Unlike other romantic novels whether the lead female character is an epitome of beauty, purity and goodness, Rooprashi's Taara is a simple Delhi girl with her pseudo-feministic attitude and judgemental nature, which makes the story more believable and original and helps us to take a balanced approach towards understanding the protagonist.

The story is accompanied by some beautiful sketches, done by the sketch artist and photographer Anukampa Sharma, which surely intensifies the beauty of the book.

It is a good one time read and I recommend this book to those who wants to read a light romantic fiction.

Happy Reading
