In Victims for Sale, author Nish Amarnath has weaved a brilliant story, containing all the necessary ingredients for a thriller, conflict, tension and suspense, tied up in a nice, twisty package. The very first thing that I loved about the book is its cover page. Cover Designer Arati Devasher has done a commendable job with an unique play of black and green which intensifies the appetite to go through the narrative.
As far as the writing style is concerned, it is absolutely fantastic. There are a very few writers who possess the rare quality of playing with the words to evoke the perfect emotion and aesthetic pleasure and Nish's writing undoubtedly belongs to the category. Throughout the novel I have utterly enjoyed her writing, whether it is the vocabulary or the sentence structure, everything has been executed very neatly.
As far as the character construction is concerned it is done with atmost care and precision. I loved the way the author has developed the character of Sandy and presented a protagonist with whom every reader would want to venture into the dark world of crime. The way author has connected the problem of sex trafficking with the narrative is truly praiseworthy. The narration runs in a steady pace and nowhere I felt the story is excessively lengthy. Infact, as one delve deep into the story, it provides almost a cinematic experience.
Overall, it was a really amazing read. I highly recommend this book to all the suspense thriller lovers. I give this book 4.5 stars for the brilliant writing style, character and plot construction and overall presentation.
Happy Reading
