Dhruv: Love Story of an Alchemist by author Karan Verma is one of those rare creations that touches the soul. The story has a touch of spirituality in it which actually differentiates the novel from other romantic fictions and provides some useful insights on the human nature and the world. If you are one of those readers who enjoys the subtlety of human emotions and want to understand the beauty and vastness of the feeling called love from a spiritual perspective, this book is for you.

The story revolves around Dhruv, a boy who lives at the holy city of Benaras with his father. But unlike other boys, he has a purpose in life, a purpose which he has to fulfill for the benefit of all.It is a story of Dhruv's search for identity and meaning in life. It is a story of his love with Emma, and how that love helps him to go beyond the boundaries of right and wrong, truth and false, to achieve the higher truth in a state of equilibrium.

I absolutely loved the way the author has narrated the story. The descriptions of the ancient city of Benaras is so vivid and picturesque that one can actually visualize the places in front of their eyes while going through the work.

Actually, as I have said earlier, this is a novel which you have to read for yourself to get the essence. The beauty of this work can't be expressed through words.

The cover page with the beautiful ghats of Benaras and the Dhruv star shining on the sky above, perfectly portrays the theme of love and spirituality.

I have utterly enjoyed going through this novel and highly recommend it to all. I give this novel full 4 stars for the amazing narration, beautiful theme and superb overall presentation.

Happy Reading
