Afsaane, a collection of beautifully woven 11 short stories by debut author Ameya Bondre is certainly a book worth reading. Each one of the stories in this collection has its own unique charm. Any work of fiction attains universality when it offers the readers a chance to associate themselves with the characters and I must say the author has succeeded in his endeavor of doing so. The best part of these stories is that the stories contain a touch of reality in them which through the beauty of the author's amazing writing style provides a great reading experience.
The author through his eloquent writing style, smooth narration and perfect choice of words has created an amazing collection.
I also loved the way the author has started each one of the stories and ends them. There remains a desire to hear more, to stay with the story, which I think, is the author's greatest achievement.
As far as the cover image and the title is concerned, they are apt and justified and perfectly follows the theme of the collection.
I loved the stories "Distances", "Dreams", "Chaos", "A Healthy Home" and "Deaf".
Overall, it was a good reading experience.I loved the book and recommend everyone to go through it. I give this book 4 stars.
Happy Reading
