Book Review: A Safari in the Equity World by Ritesh Dhoot

Title- A Safari in the Equity World
Author-Ritesh Dhoot
Publisher- Rupa Publications
Genre-Non-Fiction
Format-Paperback
Year-2019
Length-180 pages
Rating-4.5/5 stars

Abu Dhabi-based stock market expert Ritesh Dhoot's debut work "A Safari in the Equity World" presents two apparently contrasting but interconnected worlds of Animal Kingdom and Stock Market. During one of his safari trips to Kenya he realised how the Stock Market is also nothing but a haunting ground where a person have to be alert all the time to escape his doom. The one policy that applies to both the world is "Survival of the Fittest ".

In this book he has meticulously discussed on a few very important and useful investment themes with the goal of providing the readers a guide to invest their money to the right place at the right time.

As the author has discussed at the very outset that the book is chiefly for 3 types of readers.First is those general readers with some or no conceptions about the Financial world, Second are the investment experts and third is a finance and investment student. I studied Economics in my Bachelor's so I had a general idea about the subject, but I must say even if you don't have any idea about the nuts and bolts of finance still the book is written in such an interesting way that it will force you to finish the book as soon as possible.

The title is apt and justified, cover design by Saurabh Garge and Art Design by Mugdha Sadhwani is just amazing. The book is free from any technical or financial terms and written in simple language but not too simple to dilute the content.

The best part of his writing is undoubtedly the way he has explained every concept with examples from latest films with the touch of history makes it an utterly enjoyable read.I particularity loved the 12th chapter where the author has shared some of his investment principles and ideas from philosophy and psychology.

I truly enjoyed reading the book and infact learned many things.I highly recommend the book to those who have interest in stock market or those who are planning to invest in the market.I give this book 4.5 stars for the amazing writing style and content.
Happy Reading
