Review

Baaghi Ballia by Hindi author Satya Vyas is beautiful conglomeration of love, friendship, Betrayal weaved artistically on the backdrop of Student Union Election. The novel shows the naked reality behind Student Politics where people can go to any extent to serve their purpose.

Satya Vyas writes from the heart which touches the heart of his admirers. His writing bears the unique smell of the soil of rural India, that Unique Desi flavour makes the reading experience utterly enjoyable. He has this rare quality of instantly capturing our minds and hearts though the magic of his excellent storytelling, eloquent words coupled with the subtle touch of witty humour, which delights us because of its proximity with the real world and its people. He can tell you the
bitter truth wrapped in humour.

I particularly like the way he used history and Mythology to bind the varrious aspects of the story together. His satirical tone at times becomes really enjoyable. Also the way he has contructed the witty discussions between Miyaan and Neta is absolutely fantastic. His description of the horrific incidents with Jyoti will surely make you cry. The character of Daak Sahab is absolutely brilliant.

It takes courage to play with the fire and author Satya Vyas certainly possesses that courage.I give this book 4.2 stars for the amazing writing style, witty humour and presentation.

Happy Reading
