There are some books which touches our heart by giving us an unique aesthetic pleasure, But there are a few books which forces us to meditate over our lives by bringing us a bit closure to the reality. "A Ticklish Affair" is undoubtedly one of the best short-story collection I have read this year. A book which provides an ultimate reading experience by shaking its reader to break their slumber of romanticism.
"Blackmail" and "Masqueraders from the North" gives a picture of how the lower section of the society gets exploited by the rich class. Both the stories are written with much precision and realistically portrays the current scenario of the soceity.
The Stories "Let me Soar High" and "The Kikar Tree" are very well written. While the first one is inspired from the "Nirvaya Case", the later one is the author's take on the self-proclaimed Gurus who exploit innocent people in the name of religion. The amazing writing style gives almost a cinematic experience.
And finally how can I forget the two stories I loved the most..."A Ticklish Affair" and "Rickshaw Faridabadi" paints the passion of love with the brush of reality, and it is probably the turmoil I have observed in the stories which elevates them to a different level. The way the authors have expressed the subtle emotions through the beautiful play of words is truely appreciable.
It was truly an amazing experience going through all these amazing stories. I highly recommend everyone to go through the book and I am sure you will discover something new everytime you will read them.
Happy Reading
