Sombit Naskar's novella "The Chi Chi Boy" showcases the beauty and intricacies of the modern homosexual romantic relationship in an amazingly beautiful and diverse way. The Novella centers around the physical, psychological and emotional affinity he shares with some of the amazing souls and how it matures his perception about myriad aspects of love and life.
The first thing I liked about the novella was the author's beautiful writing style, coupled with the coversational tone which provides the work a personal touch and helps the readers to connect with the novella in a better way. Secondly, I loved the way he has explained a few aspects related to love and relationship in a practical manner. It helped me to understand the inner thought process of a young modern homosexual Indian man in a better way.
I think the only downside it has is it's length which is very small as even after finishing the novella I wanted to read a bit more.
Overall,it was a good experience going through the work..I hope he will continue to write and share his thoughts with the readers.
I give this novella 4 stars and encourage you all to go through it.
